From Guri – June 2019

Health Registries for Research – a nation-wide NFR-funded infrastructure coordinated by IGS – has come to an end, and this was celebrated with a seminar and dinner early in June. 5 years of good work has given important results, such as safe solutions for data handling and development of advanced analysis methods. Congratulations, Gun Peggy Knudsen, Rolv Terje Lie and Stein Emil Vollset, to mention a few core people in the project group.

CISMAC, our centre for excellent research, also arranged a big seminar this month. The objectives were to present the progress of some of CISMAC’s ongoing studies, discuss possibilities of implementation research to support getting findings into policy and practice, and interact with representatives of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UNICEF and WHO. Well done, CISMAC!

In line with the conclusions at the HMS-seminar, it is time for everyone to take a well-deserved summer holiday. Enjoy family, friends and hopefully some warm and beautiful summer days!
