R-Ladies is a world-wide organization to promote gender diversity in the R community. Julia Romanowska, bioinformatics expert (senior engineer) at BIOS, IGS, is a co-founder of R-Ladies Bergen , a chapter of R-Ladies Global, which is an organization to promote gender diversity in the R community.
They arrange meetings once a month. Next event is on February 23, and may be of interest to many at IGS. NTNU professor in statistics Mette Langaas will talk about the use of R in teaching.
