Do you want to learn how to write competitive applications? One way to do that is to sign up to become an evaluator for a funding agency and get an opportunity to review several project proposals. This will give you a better understanding of the qualities of a good proposal and the common weaknesses of bad proposals. On top of that you will get a peek behind the curtain when it comes to how the evaluations of research applications are conducted.
