Inequality in health was the topic for the Day of the Department, and different approaches to this topic were presented before prizes were awarded for posters, publications and teaching. Thanks to the Research committee for arranging a very fruitful day!
The leaders for the departments of public health at the four medical faculties in this country had a joint meeting in Trondheim earlier this month, discussing common challenges such as GDPR, the national research schools, rearranging master programs etc. This network is highly relevant and useful for IGS.
A week ago, the Medical Faculty at UiB arranged a seminar in UiB’s Brussels office about Better aging – Science and Innovation to combat dementia. The seminar had a multidisciplinary approach, and IGS was well represented by professor Bettina Husebø and professor Trond Riise.
Next week IGS will arrange the annual HMS-meeting about our work conditions. I hope to see many of you there: June 7 at 12 o’clock in the canteen in Kalfarveien 31. Come early and get some free lunch before we start.
