William Howlett wins Irish Presidents award

William Howlett, a visiting researcher at CIH/IGS, has been awarded one of the 2019 Presidential Distinguished Service Awards for the Irish Abroad. According to the website: «The Presidential Distinguished Service Award was established by the Government following the 2011 Global Irish Economic Forum as a means to recognise the contribution of members of the Irish diaspora, and the first awards were made in 2012.» Howlett won in the category «Science and Technology».

Howlett has written a free, on-line textbook on Neurology, with accompanying videos. Access to the book is one of the most visited pages on UiB’s web pages.
