About the talk
Can targeted interventions in one generation efficiently improve health in multiple generations? Emerging research suggests that health and disease may origin in exposures years before conception, and that the future fathers may be as important as the pregnant mothers for offspring health. Possibly environmental factors or malnutrition – as well as beneficial interventions – could influence not only the person experiencing this exposure/intervention, but also the developing sperm and egg, and thereby the future offspring born from those cells?
